 The principals of Ohio State Optical are Bob Hagman, Chairman, and R. Emil Hagman, President. Both Bob and Emil are past presidents of the Opticians Association of Ohio and the Opticians Association of America. Emil is one of only three national association presidents to serve consecutive terms. Bob is a Past Chairman and Emil is the current Chairman, of the American Board of Opticianry, the national certifying agency for opticians. Both have also served on the Advisory Council of the Better Vision Institute. Emil and Bob are both certified as Masters in Ophthalmic Optics by the American Board of Opticianry, as are four other Ohio State Optical associate opticians. Of the approximately 350 ABO Masters in the United States, the six at Ohio State Optical are the most in any one firm in the country. All dispensing personnel at Ohio State Optical are state licensed opticians, this represents Ohio State Optical's committment to education and training.
